Just recently I heard about a survey that said that a majority of people prefer that businesses use the word "Christmas" rather than the word "holiday" in their greetings and signage

Perhaps we've gone too far in our attempts to not offend those of a different faith than Christianity. Probably we should have done a survey or asked some of the members of another faith whether or not they were offended. Maybe we would have been surprised that any offense was in our eyes, not theirs. People can be surprisingly tolerant if we will let them.

As for me, it will be "Merry Christmas" rather than "Happy Holidays!"
